His Calling
A Heart for Shepherding
Pastor Trai Williams was born to Verdie King Williams and the late Reverend Dr. John C. Williams, Jr. He was baptized as a born-again believer on May 3, 2015 under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Larry D. Glover at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, in Augusta, GA. He accepted his calling to ministry and was ordained as a deacon on January 1, 2017.
On January 20, 2019, Trai announced to the church body that he was called to minister; and on June 28, 2020, he was licensed by Dr. Glover being ordained on November 12, 2023. On March 30, 2025 he was installed as the assistant pastor at Lighthouse, and on June 28, 2026 he was installed as pastor at Greater Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lyons, Georgia by Dr. Glover.

Pastoral Vision
Leading with Truth and Grace
Three-fold mission of the church. Teach. Baptize. Disciple.
We want the church to grow, this will happen through intentional evangelism efforts, starting with our immediate family and friends.
Every program or auxiliary function should be geared towards winning souls for Christ. We don’t want to steal members; we want to create them.
We want to focus the church on discipleship. We will do this through consistent teaching and preaching. The current members will be strengthened through continuing education classes and topical bible studies; and new members will be walked through scripture beginning in Genesis. They will have a better understanding of sin, repentance, redemption and grace.
At the center of Pastor Trai Williams’ ministry is a desire to exalt Christ and serve the church with humility, wisdom, and compassion.
He believes the local church should be a place where the Word of God is taught clearly, worship is offered sincerely, and every person is welcomed with genuine care.
My prayer is that every person who walks through our doors would encounter the love of Christ, hear the truth of Scripture, and find a church family where faith can grow.

Ministry in Community
Pastoral ministry reaches beyond the pulpit through prayer, encouragement, fellowship, and a steady presence in the life of the church.
At Greater Rocky Creek Baptist Church, we are committed to making disciples as commanded by Christ in The Great Commission. We see people as Jesus sees them, made in the image of God, in need of redemption. Our mission is to bring God’s healing love to hurting people, to set free those who are slaves to sin, to bring good news to the poor, to preach repentance and the second coming of Christ. We trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to work through us to accomplish God’s Will.
